Art and Design: Games and Playable Media
ARTG 170A Game Design Studio I
Students create novel, interesting game concepts, and outline and refine game proposals for longer-term projects. Studio projects cover a range of creative practices, including concept ideation and storyboarding, prototyping, and presenting and/or exhibiting the game idea in a more finalized form. This course focuses on team projects and collaboration. It can be taken as a single course, or can be taken as part one of the art and design: games and playable media capstone requirement, which can continue as a team-based project-design series.
