SOCY 30A Introduction to Digital Justice Studies

The first class in a three-quarter sequence that prepares students for designing social justice and sustainability projects using digital technologies and tools in partnerships with community and non-governmental organizations. Tuesday's class topics include globalization, info-exclusion, social justice, information revolution, global civil-society networks, social entrepreneurship, and organizational assessment. Thursday's technical laboratory teaches students to develop practical digital technology skills for working in solidarity with community organizations in areas such as web design, graphic design, and digital networking.
