POLI 176 Power and Politics in Southeast Asia

Explores the issues and challenges facing the five Southeast Asian countries that line the shores of the Mekong River: Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Examines the importance of the health of the Mekong to the lives of 70 million who depend on its flowing waters and how exploitation of the river and how its tributaries pose real and tangible opportunities as well as threats across a broad and diverse geography.
