Request Return to UCSC (Readmission)
If you are an undergraduate student and you left UCSC without completing your degree, you may submit a Request to Return to UCSC eForm in my.ucsc.edu to resume your studies (help is available via help@ucsc.edu if you need to gain or restore access). Once in MyUCSC, find the “Prior Student eForms” tile and select “Request to Return to UCSC.” This eForm must be submitted during the filing periods below:
Quarter of Attendance |
eForm Filing Period |
Fall quarter |
January 1–March 31 (by *May 31 for late requests)
|
Winter quarter |
July 1–September 30 |
Spring Quarter |
October 1–December 31
|
Summer Quarter |
January 1–March 31 (by *May 31 for late requests) |
* Requests to return in fall that are submitted during the extended filing period between April 1 and May 31 are subject to additional scrutiny by the college and may be denied due to limited class selection and availability. To ensure timely processing and enrollment opportunities, we strongly recommend all fall return requests to be filed by March 31.
There is a $70 filing fee, which is nonrefundable and nontransferable. The filing fee will be billed to your student account. You are responsible for this fee even if you do not return to UCSC.
If you attended any other institutions (including other UC campuses) during your time away, transcripts will need to be sent (electronically or by mail) to the Office of the Registrar. If you left for health reasons, clearance from the Cowell Student Health Center may be required. You must pay all outstanding bills owed to the university before you will be permitted to register.
